Artsakh President's Spokesperson on Sending Aid to Kyiv

The authorities of Artsakh have always supported peaceful relations, regardless of which corner of the world is being discussed. Lusine Avanesyan, the spokesperson for the President of Artsakh, stated this in an interview with 168.am while addressing the humanitarian aid sent to the residents of Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia regions of Ukraine.

It was revealed yesterday that on March 7, through the Russian peacekeeping forces, 14 tons of humanitarian assistance was sent to the residents of Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia regions initiated by the Government of Artsakh. The humanitarian aid consists of locally produced essential goods.

Taking into account that today, alongside the Armenian soldier, Russian peacekeepers are also maintaining security in Artsakh, the media outlet inquired from Avanesyan how this step might affect the peacekeeping mission and why assistance was not sent to residents of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

“People have found themselves in a difficult situation, and at this moment, we can help them in some way, so this assistance has been delivered to them. Similarly, in the past, Artsakh has also sent humanitarian aid to Lebanon,” Avanesyan responded.

Regarding the impact of all this on the Russian peacekeeping mission, Avanesyan mentioned that the answer to this question is already in the official statement. It is through the Russian peacekeeping forces in Artsakh that 14 tons of humanitarian assistance has been sent to the residents of Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia regions.
