VIDEO: Zelensky Appeals to the World
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky calls on the world to abandon Russian oil and petroleum products, as well as to refrain from supplying goods and services to the Russian Federation. He reiterates the necessity to close Ukraine's airspace and protect civilians. This is stated by the president in his video address.
“We have been defending ourselves from the invasion for 12 days. We never wanted this war, but it was imposed on us. We have not dreamed of killing people, but we must drive the enemy out of our land and our lives. No other European nation has seen such a war for 80 years. It is on our soil that it is determined whether another will become a victim of the same aggression in Europe,” the president said.
Zelensky noted that he has discussed these issues with world leaders, who agree that Ukraine is determining the future of the continent with its resistance, while his friends are helping them.
The country’s leader also called for a boycott of the supply of goods to the Russian Federation. “If they cannot uphold civilized rules, then they should not receive goods and services either; let the war feed them,” he emphasized.
Zelensky stated that the international community must act even more decisively.
