Under What Conditions Did Sergeant Manasyan Die Today? Investigative Committee Provides Details

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal case under Article 104, Part 2, Points 1, 2, and 13 of the Criminal Code regarding the murder of one serviceman and the wounding of another.

According to preliminary information, on March 7, 2022, at 12:55 PM, while conducting engineering work at a combat outpost of the Armenian Ministry of Defense’s N military unit, Sergeant Hratch Aram Manasyan, born in 1985, was fatally wounded by gunfire from units of the Azerbaijani armed forces. Another contracted serviceman, a private born in 1990, sustained gunshot wounds and has been transferred to a medical facility.

An investigation is underway.
