UN Calls for Investigation into the Murder of Ukrainian Negotiation Group Member Kyreev

The official spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, Stephane Dujarric, has called for an investigation into the murder of Denis Kyreev, a member of the Ukrainian delegation in negotiations with Russia, reports RIA Novosti.

Dujarric clarified that he does not possess specific information regarding the incident.

Earlier, Ukrainian Member of Parliament Oleksandr Dubinsky announced the murder of Kyreev. According to him, Kyreev was suspected of treason, and the killing was carried out by agents of the Security Service of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense confirmed Kyreev's death, explaining that he had died alongside two other employees of the Ministry of Defense's Main Intelligence Directorate.

Previously, Belarusian political scientist Yuri Voskresensky had reported that Yevheniy Shevchenko, a member of the Supreme Council and a key figure in the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations, had been abducted while trying to cross the border with Poland.
