Ukraine Has Been Told the War Could Stop at Any Moment: Peskov
Russia is demanding that Ukraine cease military operations, constitutionally register its neutral status, recognize Crimea as part of Russia, as well as the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics. Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary for the President of Russia, stated this in an interview with Reuters on Monday, emphasizing that under these conditions, Russia's military operations could cease at any moment.
"They need to amend their constitution so that Ukraine rejects any intention to join any alliances. We also spoke about the need for them to recognize that Crimea is part of Russian territory, and that they must recognize Donetsk and Luhansk as independent states, and that's it. The war can stop at any moment," Peskov said in a comment to the agency.
