The European Union to Discuss Ukraine's Application for Membership: Which Countries Will Vote Against?
The leaders of the European Union will discuss Ukraine's application to join the bloc in the coming days, announced European Council President Charles Michel.
“Unity, friendship, and the EU's unprecedented support for Ukraine remain steadfast. In the coming days, we will discuss Ukraine's membership application,” he wrote on Twitter.
EU leaders are set to address the ongoing war in Ukraine and the country’s application for EU membership during an informal summit in Paris scheduled for Thursday.
Bloomberg, citing its sources, reports that Germany and the Netherlands are opposed to Ukraine becoming a member of the EU.
