Illegal Hunting Incidents Recorded in Aragatsotn and Armavir
According to the directive of the head of the Environmental and Mining Inspection Body, measures to prevent illegal hunting have been implemented in several regions of Armenia since February 24. During these efforts, three instances of illegal hunting were recorded in the Aragatsotn and Armavir regions, leading to the confiscation of a number of firearms including IZH-43, MR-43, and MR-27 types, as well as 24 steppe quails that were caught.
Additionally, an illegal vehicle transporting timber was discovered in the Lori region, specifically a GAZ-66 truck carrying 4 cubic meters of firewood without the necessary documentation. The truck loaded with illegal timber was transferred to a police facility under special protection.
Administrative proceedings are underway, and penalties will be imposed. The measures are ongoing.
