Azerbaijan Aims to Justify Criminal Offenses Against Civilian Population: Artsakh Ombudsman
In recent days, Azerbaijan's military propaganda sources have been spreading false information about violations of the ceasefire regime by Armenian forces in various sections of the Armenian-Azerbaijani contact line. In doing so, Azerbaijan aims to justify its criminal offenses against the civilian population and simultaneously prepare the ground for subsequent actions and provocations. This statement was made by Gegham Stepanyan, the Ombudsman of Artsakh.
On March 6, the Azerbaijani side fired shots using weapons of various calibers toward the community of Kharamor in the Askeran region of Artsakh, and today, March 7, around 5:00 PM, a grenade launcher was used in the same area, with the shells detonating near the village cemetery. There were no casualties among civilians.
Alongside these actions, the Azerbaijani propaganda machine has engaged in discrediting and slandering the Russian peacekeeping forces that ensure the safety of the civilian population in Artsakh and particularly their command staff.
The Azerbaijani criminal actions against the physical and psychological sanctity of the people of Artsakh and the slanders directed at Russian peacekeepers are systematic and coordinated, organized with the knowledge and instructions of the Azerbaijani authorities.
All recorded incidents once again prove the direct and undeniable intention of the Azerbaijani side to disrupt the normal life of the civilian population of the Republic of Artsakh and subject Artsakh to ethnic cleansing.
