Vainetzyan Questions Effectiveness of Inquiry Committee with Expert Artur Hovhannisyan
If the government truly wishes to uncover information about the start, course, and consequences of the 44-day war, it possesses a broad range of tools through the Prosecutor's Office, investigative bodies, and the National Security Service, which have several times more opportunities and powers to examine the case and punish the guilty.
This was stated today in an interview with reporters by Arthur Vainetzyan, the leader of the 'I Have Honor' parliamentary faction. According to him, the inquiry committee is a tool for the opposition to exercise oversight, but when it is formed by the government, or when the head of the committee is a person who defends the government from morning till night, how can one imagine the effectiveness of that committee?
'Artur Hovhannisyan is included as an expert, who throughout the war has provided the public with false information—how do you envision the effectiveness and impartiality of that inquiry committee?' said Arthur Vainetzyan.
