The Situation in Ukraine Is Not a Hollywood Action Film: Lavrov Elaborates

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has announced that negotiations between representatives of the Russian Federation and Ukraine will take place today, March 3. He believes it is too early to assess the Russo-Ukrainian negotiations.

Lavrov is confident that a solution will be found for the situation in Ukraine. “Of course, a solution will be found regarding the situation in Ukraine, I have no doubt about it. The conditions that are minimum for us are known. They are being discussed, including in negotiations with the Ukrainian side, as was the case in Gomel,” he said in an interview with Russian and foreign media, as reported by TASS.

In his opinion, there is no doubt that the Ukrainian delegation is receiving signals from Washington during the negotiations. “Once again, the Ukrainian team has found certain reasons to postpone these negotiations. They are certainly receiving instructions from Washington, there is no doubt about that. This country is completely dependent,” he stated. Lavrov noted that the situation in Ukraine is not a Hollywood action film where there is absolute evil and absolute good.
