Putin Calls on Macron to Assist in Evacuating Foreign Nationals from Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin has called on his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron to participate in organizing the safe evacuation of foreign nationals from Ukraine. This was reported by TASS, citing the Kremlin's press service.

The call primarily concerns a large group of immigrants from India and Vietnam, who, according to the Ministry of Defense, are being prevented from leaving Kharkiv by nationalist groups.

The Kremlin has stated that the French leader promised to discuss the matter with Ukrainian authorities. They emphasized that Moscow and Paris have agreed to continue their communications on this and other issues.

Previously, the Russian Ministry of Defense had announced that Russian soldiers are prepared to implement a silence regime and provide humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians from Ukrainian territory.
