Kremlin Denies Reports of Martial Law Plans

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has dismissed reports about plans to impose martial law in several regions of Russia, as well as news about restrictions on men traveling to other countries, calling them 'false.' His comments were reported by TASS.

The press secretary for the President of Russia urged the public not to believe such news and to avoid falling victim to deception. He emphasized the importance of carefully scrutinizing all information.

'No, this is misinformation that citizens are sending to each other, and so on,' Peskov added.

Earlier reports indicated that the first round of negotiations between representatives from Russia and Ukraine took place on February 28 and lasted over five hours. The delegations agreed to meet 'in the coming days' after consultations in their respective capitals.

In turn, the presidential press secretary stated that Moscow has grounds to believe that the Ukrainian side is intentionally delaying the start of bilateral negotiations.
