DPR troops have tightened the encirclement of Mariupol. This was reported by the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, during a briefing this evening.

"The LPR troops, with the fire support of the Russian armed forces, continue to successfully carry out offensive operations. The DPR troops have tightened the encirclement of Mariupol," Konashenkov stated.

He emphasized that Russian soldiers do not create any obstacles for the exit of the civilian population.
