The West Has Essentially Launched a Widespread Economic War Against Russia: Iran Expert

Amid the ongoing military actions in Ukraine, the collective West has effectively launched a widespread economic war against Russia. This was stated by Iran expert Vardan Voskanyan on Telegram.

He specifically noted, “Against this backdrop, EU officials periodically announce that they will attempt to increase imports of this energy source from Azerbaijan and Algeria at the expense of Russian gas, while the oppressive regime in Baku seems to have no objection to joining Moscow's opponents in this matter. If Russia has no effective leverage over Algeria, then in the case of the oppressive regime in Baku, our ally Armenia and the republics of Artsakh, considering our geographical position and other tools, can serve as a bastion against the anti-Russian ambitions of the Baku dictatorship in the South Caucasus.”

“Thus, taking all this into account, I believe that Moscow should become even more interested not only in rearming and modernizing the Armenian armed forces but also in considering the possibilities of deoccupying the territories seized from Artsakh and subsequent Azerbaijani elimination. However, to achieve all this, effective and diligent work from the Armenian side is also necessary, because alongside challenges, new opportunities have also arisen,” he added.
