Russian Oligarch Roman Abramovich is Selling His Property in a Hurry: The Guardian
British Member of Parliament Chris Bryant claims that Russian oligarch and owner of Chelsea Football Club, Roman Abramovich, is hurriedly selling his property in the UK to avoid possible financial sanctions, according to The Guardian.
The MP notes that the government is applying sanctions against those connected to Russian President Vladimir Putin at an exceedingly slow pace. The West has imposed severe sanctions against Russia following its military actions in Ukraine.
It is important to recall that on the morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the commencement of a special military operation aimed at the demilitarization of Ukraine. In a televised address, he stated that the circumstances “require us to take decisive and immediate action, the people’s republics of Donbas have turned to Russia for help.”
According to the Russian leader, all responsibility for the bloodshed will fall on the conscience of the ruling regime in Ukraine. He called on Ukrainian soldiers to ignore the criminal orders of their authorities, lay down their arms, and return home.
