Putin Discusses Sanctions
Russian President Vladimir Putin met on Wednesday with Alexander Shokhin, head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The state leader received him at the Kremlin, as reported by TASS.
As informed to journalists by the president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov, Putin continues to engage in economic matters, holding working meetings and discussions. Last week, the state leader met with representatives of the Russian business community.
Peskov noted that the meeting with Shokhin is a continuation of this work, as it is crucial to discuss the emerging issues with representatives of this sector against the backdrop of an openly hostile economic environment, in order to minimize the consequences.
Putin and Shokhin discussed in detail ways to mitigate the impact of sanctions on Russia's largest companies, according to the Kremlin.
