Belarus Announces Attempt to Reconcile Russia and Ukraine
Belarus is not only providing a platform for negotiations between Ukraine and Russia but is also making genuine efforts to reconcile the conflicting parties. This was stated by the country's Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, as reported by TASS.
He described Belarus as "the only country in the world that has truly done something to try to reconcile the parties" and emphasized that the authorities are doing everything possible to hold a second round of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.
Golovchenko also added that the current situation compels the Belarusian authorities to take measures to ensure the country's military and economic security, expressing regret that "anti-Belarusian forces" are trying to link Minsk to the conflict between Moscow and Kyiv.
On February 28, a meeting of delegations from Russia and Ukraine was organized at a Belarusian border checkpoint. During the negotiations, the parties did not reach specific decisions, and the delegates returned to their capitals for further consultations.
