Major and Tragic Car Accident in Ararat Region: 1 Fatality, 5 Injured

On February 28, a major and tragic car accident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 19:15, on the 4th kilometer stretch of the Vosketa-Vedi road, within the administrative territory of the village of Vazashen, vehicles driven by local residents in Ararat, namely 28-year-old Arshak Hovhannisyan in a Volkswagen Bora, 36-year-old Davit Jiroyan in a Volkswagen Golf, and 62-year-old Babik Manukyan in a VAZ 2106, collided.

According to reports from shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, B. Manukyan and his passengers, 61-year-old Anahit Manukyan, 71-year-old Tamara Manukyan, and 76-year-old Hasmik Hambardzumyan, were taken to the medical center in Vedi with injuries.

Hours later, the driver A. Hovhannisyan and his passenger, 39-year-old Sasun Mkrtchyan, were also transferred to the mentioned medical center.

At approximately 23:20, the Vedi medical center contacted the Ararat division of the police, reporting that one of the injured, B. Manukyan, had passed away without regaining consciousness.
