Australia to Allocate 75 Million Dollars to Ukraine
Australia will allocate 50 million dollars for support of Ukraine's defense and 25 million dollars for humanitarian aid. This was reported by CNN.
“We will allocate 50 million dollars to support Ukraine's defense, providing both lethal and non-lethal weapons... We are talking about missiles, we are talking about ammunition,” said Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison during a press conference.
According to him, an additional 25 million dollars will be sent to assist international organizations meeting humanitarian needs and addressing the demands of people in Ukraine. Earlier, on February 28, Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced that his country had decided to impose sanctions against the Russian leadership.
The Australian government has also committed to providing Ukraine with both lethal and non-lethal military equipment, medicines, and financial assistance, and will invest 3 million dollars in the NATO fund for Ukraine, reported Interfax.
