VIDEO: Is Kyiv Blockaded or Not? Klitschko Denies His Interview
The mayor of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, has issued a message. He noted that Russia continues its fight against Ukraine not only with military weapons but also through misinformation.
"They create fake pages of public officials, manipulate information, and create certain legends. Today, they cloned my Instagram page," Klitschko said, continuing, "Yesterday, Russian internet publications disseminated information linking me, claiming that Kyiv is blockaded and evacuation of people is impossible. It is astonishing that this was also spread by Ukrainian Telegram channels. Do not believe the lies. Trust only the information from official sources. Together, united, we will stand firm. Ukraine will win! Glory to our army, glory to the citizens, glory to Ukraine!"
It is worth noting that earlier Russian and Ukrainian Telegram channels published excerpts from Klitschko's interview with the Associated Press, in which, according to the English-language site's publication, he responded to a question about whether there are plans to evacuate civilians if Russian forces succeed in capturing Kyiv, stating, "We cannot do that because all the roads are closed. Right now, we are blockaded."
