FIFA and UEFA Suspend Russia's National Team from International Competitions

The International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) have suspended Russian clubs and the national team from participating in all international competitions. This was reported by RT.

According to a statement published on UEFA's website, following preliminary decisions made by the FIFA Council and the UEFA Executive Committee that called for additional measures, the organizations jointly decided today that all Russian teams, whether national or club, will be barred from participating in competitions governed by FIFA and UEFA.

The decision is effective "until further notice."
