Without Flag and Anthem: FIFA Announces How the Russian National Team Can Participate in Football Matches
The Russian national team can participate in competitions with a neutral status, without a flag and anthem, FIFA has announced.
Specifically, FIFA stated that the association representing Russia can participate in any competition under the name "Russian Football Union (RFU)" instead of "Russia." The Russian flag or anthem will not be used in matches where teams of the Russian Football Union are participating.
