Shoigu Orders Respect for Surrendered Ukrainians and Safe Exit

The Russian Ministry of Defense reports that armed nationalist groups are primarily showing resistance during the current military operations.

At the same time, Ukrainian military personnel are attempting to avoid clashes and negotiate corridors without exiting the weapons operation zone, the department noted.

For his part, Shoigu has issued special instructions to all unit commanders to treat Ukrainian servicemen with respect.

“Given the fact that the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, unlike the nationalists, have sworn allegiance to the Ukrainian people and are subject to orders, treat them with respect,” Shoigu stated and urged the development of safe corridors from the operation areas to ensure the secure exit of surrendered Ukrainian soldiers.
