Ministry of Defense Issues Statement

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, continuing its practice of disseminating periodic misinformation regarding the border situation, claims that on the evening of February 23, units of the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire towards Azerbaijani combat positions located in the southeastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia once again calls on the Azerbaijani side to refrain from spreading obvious false information regarding the border situation.

The situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is relatively stable and is under the full control of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.
