Father of 4-Year-Old Responds to Allegations of Violence Reported by Doctor
A resident from one of the provinces who was transferred to the "Vig Mor" clinic yesterday confirmed that his child R.N., born in 2018, had not been subjected to violence.
In an interview with Aravot.am, the father stated: "There are no bruises on my child. The child was with me all day in front of my eyes, never left the house. Where can you leave a three-year-old; where can they go? He had issues with his intestines, it was hard for him to go. He had gone once, and we didn't think much of it. The second time he went, he had pains in his rear area. The child actually has an anal fissure and needs treatment. I inquired where to take him, and they advised this clinic, so we went there. They checked him and said a dermatologist would also look at him the next day. That doctor called and said, 'Come at this time, the dermatologist is waiting for you.' We went, but the dermatologist was not there; we waited, and he never came. They told us they needed to report to the police, and I asked why they would report; we see no issues.
I received a call from the police, and I told them those doctors do not understand anything. I left their clinic yesterday and the day before, and I have been to five hospitals where they have examined my child. I have all the documents that refute what they said. I have now informed people that they are dealing specifically with that doctor for spreading false information and dragging us into this story. That doctor was not a gynecologist; it was another specialist, and my child was never examined by a gynecologist; no examination took place at all. I am going to demand a written conclusion from them because if the gynecologist did not check my child, and that doctor is not even a specialist, what kind of commotion has she created and spread? I also called the Human Rights Defender yesterday and informed them about this. They spread completely false information,” said the father.
As previously reported by shamshyan.com, materials were prepared in the central division of the police regarding a report received from the "Vig Mor" clinic on February 21. From the mentioned center, it was reported that a child was transferred with the diagnosis of " bruises, open wounds in the vulvar area, blood accumulations and bruises around the anus, and an anal fissure." The operational group from the central division of the police, led by an inspector from the juvenile affairs department, clarified that the transferred child is a 4-year-old named R.N. from one of the provinces of Armenia. The clinic's pediatrician informed the police that it could not be ruled out that the child had sustained the mentioned injuries due to external influences and violence.
