Ukraine Begins Drafting Reservists

Ukraine has begun the drafting of reservists aged 18 to 60. This was reported on February 23 by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to RIA Novosti,

“On February 22, 2022, the President of Ukraine (Volodymyr Zelensky) signed an order regarding the conscription of individuals from among the reservists for military service in special operations.” The conscription will affect reservists aged 18 to 60, including both officers and enlisted personnel,” the report states.

It was clarified that the draft began on February 23, with a maximum service term of one year.
