Arshakyan Links Failure to Discuss Project Condemning 'Shushi Declaration' to 'Former Leaders'
The discussion on the draft condemning the 'Shushi Declaration' authored by the 'Armenia' faction was thwarted due to the absence of the ruling party's representatives in the National Assembly during the extraordinary session, which resulted in a lack of quorum.
When asked about the reasons for the failure to discuss the project, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Hakob Arshakyan declined to provide a clear answer. In a brief conversation with journalists, he attributed the failure to the actions of the 'former leaders.' He specifically stated that Armenia has found itself in a vulnerable position regarding the Artsakh issue due to the steps taken by previous administrations.
After journalists pressed him for concrete evidence in response to his claims and counterarguments, Arshakyan chose not to hold a press conference.
