Tense Situation on Road to Zvartnots Airport

Tense situation has developed on the road to Zvartnots Airport. Participants of the war have blocked the road leading to Zvartnots Airport in protest against Turkish flights. In an interview with journalists, a participant of the protest stated that they demand not to establish friendly relations with Turkey.

“Our demand is that our guys are currently at the posts; they are standing guard to prevent the Turks from coming. Meanwhile, they invite them over saying, ‘Come, have tea, coffee with us.’ Whoever has done this is a corrupted person. They are acting against God. We will not allow this,” he said.

The police are attempting to forcibly remove the veterans.
