Closed and Difficult Roads: Current Situation in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has reported that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads within the territory of Armenia.

In the Aragatsotn region, the roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kary are closed.

The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to traverse for trucks with trailers (chains are recommended).

According to information received from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all vehicles.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
