Baku has initiated criminal prosecution against 306 Armenians. This was stated by Emil Tagiyev, head of the special investigation department of the Azerbaijani military prosecutor's office, in an interview with one of the Azerbaijani news outlets.
The Azerbaijani official announced that decisions have been made to prosecute the Armenians as defendants under relevant provisions of the criminal code, and alert notices have been issued against them, along with other necessary investigative measures.
“A decision has been made to apprehend them as defendants under the specified articles. The court has selected imprisonment as the preventive measure against them, and in order to ensure their extradition, relevant documents have been sent to Interpol's national central bureau. Among these individuals are participants in the Khojaly genocide, Valery Chitchiyan and others,” he said.
