Zelensky Does Not Understand That the West Does Not Need a Strong Ukraine: Zakharova
The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, has described Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's failure to realize that a strong Ukraine is not in the West's interest as a disaster for statehood.
“The Ukrainian president’s public misunderstanding that the West does not need a strong country, and the justification for why funds are only given to Kyiv under the condition of implementing reforms, is a disaster for statehood,” she wrote on her Telegram channel, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“Recently, Western countries have expressed concern about Russia's allegedly dangerous actions near Ukraine's borders. Moscow has repeatedly denied such accusations, stating that it does not threaten anyone and has no intention of attacking anyone, while the claims of 'Russian aggression' are used as a pretext to deploy more NATO military equipment near Russia’s borders,” Zakharova noted.
