Tragic Incident in Yerevan: Bodies of a Couple Discovered

A tragic incident occurred in Yerevan on February 17. Around 14:20, the Shengavit police department received a call from the 6th ambulance station indicating that a medical team had been dispatched to an apartment on Mark Varki Street, where bodies had been discovered.

Simultaneously, the Emergency Situations Rescue Service's 9-11 crisis management center reported a fire at the same address and indicated that there were injured citizens.

According to shamshyan.com, the firefighters who responded to the call found two bodies suffering from smoke inhalation in the apartment at 17/1 Mark Varki Street. The police and investigators have determined that the deceased were a couple renting the apartment: 64-year-old hovik Gh. and 67-year-old Sirvard Ch. They succumbed to smoke inhalation caused by an electrical panel melting.

According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic doctor, no signs of violence were found on the bodies during the external examination. At the investigator's direction, a number of examinations have been ordered, including a forensic examination of the bodies.
