Former Deputy Governor of Syunik Appointed in Place of Tigran Avinyan

Former Deputy Governor of Syunik, Narek Babayan, has been appointed as a board member of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC). According to ZCMC, on February 16, 2022, the powers of Tigran Avinyan as a member of the board were terminated by the State Interests Fund of Armenia, which serves as the fiduciary manager for the company owned by the Republic of Armenia. Narek Babayan was appointed to the board of ZCMC on February 17, 2022.

It is worth noting that just days ago, news outlets reported that Tigran Avinyan would be moving to the Yerevan City Hall to take on the role of Deputy Mayor. However, this information was not confirmed by the City Hall.
