Criminal Case Against Vuratsadzor Mayor Dropped

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that the criminal case against the former mayor of Vuratsadzor, Rafik Andreasyan, has been dropped due to lack of evidence of a crime. It’s worth mentioning that Garik Sargsyan, who is an expert in crocodilians, made an illegal decision immediately after being appointed temporary head of the consolidated community of Vedi, dismissing opposition mayors from their positions and appointing replacements.

Andreasyan, who resisted this illegal decision, became a target of law enforcement and was charged with "exercising self-justice" for refusing to hand over the community seal to the mayor appointed by Sargsyan. He was detained and later released after an incident involving his son, who was subsequently arrested for allegedly assaulting the police officers who had taken his father away.

Yesterday, Andreasyan informed us that the case against him has been dropped, while a second request for changing his son's detention has been denied.
