8 Symptoms of Omicron in Vaccinated Individuals
Vaccinated individuals also get infected with Omicron due to a number of characteristics of this variant. Norwegian scientists have presented the most common signs observed in vaccinated individuals. Their new research has been published in Eurosurveillance.
The scientists studied an outbreak of the disease after a Christmas celebration in a restaurant, where Omicron was detected in 81 out of 100 attendees. Notably, 9% of the participants were vaccinated, and the analysis of their data allowed the authors to determine the main symptoms of the variant in fully vaccinated people.
The most common symptoms were as follows:
- Cough
- Cold
- Fatigue
- Sore throat
- Headache
- Muscle pain
- Fever
- Sneezing
Some patients also experienced a loss of appetite, a loss of taste and smell, and difficulty breathing. Abdominal pain was significantly less common.
