Extraordinary Incident in Yerevan: Ambulance Doctor Attacked with a Stick, Coat Torn

On February 16, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. At approximately 3:10 PM, a call was received at the Erebuni police department reporting that the ambulance team number 43 had been attacked while responding to a call in the Vardashen neighborhood.

According to shamshyan.com, an operational group from the Erebuni police department, led by a senior investigator from the investigative division, was dispatched to the indicated address. It was reported that a dispute arose with the medical personnel who arrived at house number 34 on 5th Vardashen Street, involving Edgar K., who was seeking to be taken to the hospital. During the altercation, Edgar K. punched 26-year-old doctor Gurgen B. in the face, causing physical pain. Furthermore, Edgar K.’s son struck the doctor on the back of the head with a hand and a stick, also causing physical pain, and subsequently tore the doctor's coat. The son also hit the ambulance vehicle, a Jinbei, with his hand and stick.

The police are taking necessary measures to clarify the circumstances of the incident and to locate Edgar K. and his son. A forensic examination has been appointed by the investigator.
