Group Assaults and Beats 18-Year-Old in Central Yerevan

On February 9, the criminal investigators of the Central police department received operational information that at 14:30, four individuals assaulted a citizen after getting out of a Nissan car on Abovyan Street.

The police reported that at 15:40, they received an alert from a hospital stating that an 18-year-old young man had sought medical assistance with a diagnosis of "polytrauma." It was revealed that he had been beaten on Abovyan Street.

A criminal case has been initiated on grounds of hooliganism. On February 12, as a result of actions taken by the Central criminal investigators, the identities of those who inflicted bodily harm on the young man were established. They were found on Argishti Street and, on suspicion of hooliganism, were taken to the department and presented to the investigative body, where a 32-year-old man admitted to the crime and was arrested.
