Brothers Ordered a Taxi, Assaulted and Robbed the Driver: Investigative Committee
The investigation by the Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia into the armed robbery of a taxi driver has been completed, as reported by the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
According to the factual data obtained during the investigation, two brothers, aged 36 and 32, on June 13, 2021, around 03:30 AM, got into a taxi in Yerevan and ordered the driver to take them to the city of Ejmiadzin. Upon reaching the destination, using an object that served as a weapon, they jointly assaulted the driver by hitting him in various parts of his face and threatened to kill him, stealing the money and mobile phone he had.
Based on sufficient evidence collected, the brothers have been charged under points 1 and 4 of part 2 of Article 175 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. The investigation has concluded, and the criminal case has been sent to court with an accusatory conclusion.
