Video: Marmarashen Residents Block Highway to Yerevan

Marmarashen residents have blocked the Yerevan-Artashat highway, demanding the restoration of the Yerevan-Marmarashen transport route.

One of the participants in the protest stated that their action is not political; they have been promised that transportation issues would be addressed, but nothing has been resolved. The people are raising their voices in protest and demanding a solution to the problem.

The issue is that approximately three months ago, the license for the company servicing the Yerevan route number 44 expired, which connected Yerevan with Marmarashen. Currently, the only available transport for them is the Yerevan-Artashat buses, which are often overcrowded and barely make any stops.
