Prince Andrew and Virginia Giuffre Reach Settlement in Sexual Assault Case

The son of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, Prince Andrew, and American Virginia Giuffre have reached a settlement in the sexual assault case. This information was revealed in a letter from the prince's attorney, David Boies, which was published in the database of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

The prince will make a contribution to a fund for the American citizen, though the amount has not been disclosed.

It should be noted that on January 13, Buckingham Palace's press office announced the decision to strip the Duke of York, Andrew, of all military titles, including honorary positions gifted by the Queen. Furthermore, Andrew will no longer perform public duties as a member of the royal family and will defend himself in court as a private citizen.

The announcement came after a New York court rejected the prince's request to dismiss Giuffre's lawsuit, in which she accuses him of sexual assault. Prince Andrew himself denies any connection to Giuffre.
