Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu Tests Positive for Coronavirus
The Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has tested positive for coronavirus. He announced this on his Twitter page.
“Today, my coronavirus test resulted positive. Fortunately, the illness has a mild course. I will continue to work remotely,” he wrote.
On February 5, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also announced that he and his wife had contracted the omicron variant of the coronavirus. Erdoğan has since recovered and is making international visits.
