Lawsuit Filed Against Baldwin in Connection with Operator's Death

During the filming of "Rust," the cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was shot dead by Alec Baldwin, has had a lawsuit filed against the actor and the crew, as reported by Reuters.

The lawsuit states, "The defendant Baldwin and the other defendants in this case failed to conduct standard safety checks and did not adhere to safety protocols regarding the use of real weapons during the making of 'Rust,' which had fatal consequences." This legal action has been filed in a court in New Mexico.

The lawsuit also claims that the defendants could have prevented the operator's death had they not ignored complaints about violations of safety rules.
