Azerbaijanis Expel Artsakh Farmers from Vineyards Under Threat of Gunfire
Azerbaijani armed forces have expelled farmers working in the vineyards of the administrative territory of Kharamor from their fields today, February 16, under the threat of weapons. This was stated to NEWS.am by the head of Kharamor village, Zoric Abrahamyan.
“They are not allowing our residents to work; the Azerbaijanis have threatened them not to come to these areas anymore. Russian peacekeepers were also present at the time. Azerbaijanis expelled our villagers from the vineyards under the threat of weapons, but there was no gunfire,” Zoric Abrahamyan noted, adding that he has informed the higher authorities about the incident.
According to him, not only residents of Kharamor work in these vineyards but also those from neighboring villages. “The villagers are engaged in animal husbandry and horticulture, and now it turns out that they are deprived of their source of income,” said the head of Kharamor village.
