Video: Major Explosion at Polish Explosive Manufacturing Plant; Chances of Finding Survivors Nearly Nonexistent
On February 14, a powerful explosion occurred at the NitroErg factory in the village of Krupsk, Poland, where dynamite and explosives are produced. This has been reported by RMF FM radio station. It is noted that one of the buildings on the factory premises was destroyed as a result of the explosion.
According to eyewitnesses, the explosion was heard more than 20 kilometers away. Currently, there are reports of two fatalities, aged 32 and 43, both of whom were employees of the factory.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene, and helicopters were deployed for the evacuation of the injured. Rescuers stated that the chances of finding any survivors are very small.
As previously reported by firefighters, the explosion occurred during the mixing of 800 kg of nitroglycerin.
