Gas Prices in Europe Decrease

Gas prices in Europe have fallen during trading on February 15, dropping below the $800 per thousand cubic meters mark for the first time since December 31, 2021. This is evidenced by data from the London ICE exchange, reports Lenta.ru.

The price for March futures has declined to $798.9 per thousand cubic meters. The overall decrease in gas prices since the beginning of the day amounts to more than 15 percent.

Previously, the European Commission noted in its economic forecast for the winter of 2022 that gas prices, which reached record levels in 2021, are now slightly declining but still remain high, with further reductions expected only in 2023.
