Flying Taxi to Launch in Japan

A flying taxi will be launched in Japan. This is reported by Lenta.ru referencing TechCrunch. It is noted that the 'revolutionary' project will be undertaken by the American company Joby Aviation and the Japanese airline ANA.

Automaker Toyota Motor Corporation will collaborate with them to synchronize this new mode of transport with ground transportation, as well as act as one of Joby’s investors.

Passengers will be transported in an electric aircraft created by Joby Aviation, which can accommodate up to four passengers. The participants of the project have not disclosed the launch timeline and details of the service operation, but have stated that 'details of the revolutionary project will be announced in due course.'

Currently, the three companies are in discussion regarding infrastructure development, pilot training, and regulatory requirements.
