We Hope Rationality Will Prevail in Europe: Peskov
Moscow hopes that the authorities of European countries will prioritize rationality and begin to consider their own interests instead of following Washington's directives. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President.
In an interview with RIA Novosti, he noted that EU countries are trying to increase their union's role in global affairs, but this is not fully realized, partly due to Washington's strong influence.
“The United States has never felt a lack of stubbornness and even this cowboy approach in trying to influence its partners in Europe. They bluntly say who should do what, and if someone disagrees, they simply tell them what will happen to them,” Peskov said.
