Ukraine Stronger Than Ever: Zelensky Addresses the Nation
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has addressed the nation. He stated that Ukraine is being "intimidated with a great war," but emphasized that his country is "stronger than ever," reports Kommersant.
Zelensky pointed out that Donbas and Crimea will return to Ukraine, but only through diplomatic means. On February 16, when the United States expects a "Russian invasion" of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky announced Unity Day, during which national flags will be raised across the country to show "unity to the whole world."
“Both Donbas and Crimea will return to Ukraine. Exclusively through diplomatic means. We do not encroach upon others, but we will not give up what is ours. We have a large army. Our guys have unique combat experience and modern weapons. This is already a much stronger army than it was eight years ago,” he assured.
It is worth noting that the U.S. expects Russia to attack Ukraine on Wednesday, February 16. This outlook is shared by the United Kingdom. Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that he has signed a decree to hold “Unity Day” on this date.
