Two new subvariants of the Omicron strain have been identified. This was reported by РИА новости, referencing a statement by Poland's Deputy Minister of Health Waldemar Kraska.

"We already have two new subvariants of the Omicron strain in our country," Kraska stated, emphasizing that the Ministry of Health is still uncertain about how to proceed and how the disease will evolve in the nation.

According to the deputy minister, the coronavirus will remain with humanity for a long time, and he urged the public to take precautionary measures. Poland is currently overcoming the fifth wave of the pandemic, with the number of cases starting to decline in recent days. More than 96% of new infections have been caused by the Omicron strain.
