Ukraine Aims to Mobilize Up to 2 Million People for Territorial Security

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has instructed the territorial defense forces to increase their ranks to two million people. This was announced by Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, during a press briefing following a meeting of the council.

On Friday, Zelensky held a closed session of the National Security and Defense Council in Kharkiv. The meeting also addressed the ongoing Russian-Belarusian joint military exercises currently taking place on Belarusian territory, as well as issues regarding military assistance from Ukraine's partner countries.

Danilov noted that recently 25 aircraft transporting military aid have arrived in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, negotiations are taking place in Moscow between the defense ministers of the United Kingdom and Russia.
